As a member of Harvard’s MBE program, she studied how neuroscience and cognitive science inform education. She designed life science curriculum grounded in conceptual change research and metacognitive teaching strategies. International travel and service – in countries including Belize, India, and El Salvador – have also been incredible learning opportunities for Danica.

She also taught middle school science in Manhattan Beach and Seattle. She currently teaches math for Rainier Scholars, a Seattle-based nonprofit that works to prepare students of color for higher education opportunities.
