National Standards
Facing the Future curriculum resources are aligned with United States National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) Standards and National Science Education Standards (NSES).
State Standards
California
Facing the Future lessons are aligned with California State History-Social Science and Science Content Standards for grades 6-12 and have been reviewed and found to be in legal compliance for K-8 instruction in California.
Illinois
Facing the Future lessons are aligned with Illinois State Science and Social Science Content-Area/Learning Standards for grades 6-12.
New Jersey
Facing the Future curriculum resources are aligned with New Jersey State Science, Social Studies, and World Languages Content Standards for grades 5-12.
Washington
Facing the Future curriculum resources are aligned with Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements (EALRs) and can be used to help meet the state's Classroom-Based Assessment (CBA) for Social Studies and the 12th grade Culminating Project graduation requirement.
