How can I purchase Facing the Future resources?
You may purchase Facing the Future resources through our online store. We no longer accept purchase orders or personal checks.
What is my account? How can I create one?
Your account provides a simple way for you to download and purchase Facing the Future curriculum, and post comments and resource reviews on our website. You will be asked to create a new account the first time you download or purchase curriculum.
For downloads, please follow the instructions on the login screen to register a new account. Your email address will be automatically set as your username.
For purchases, complete the required fields in the shopping cart checkout process. An account will be registered in your name with the username and password you select.
After completing a first-time account registration, you will receive a user registration confirmation email containing your username and password. Please save this information in a safe place.
How do I log into my account?
You will be prompted to log into your account when downloading free curriculum or making a purchase in our online store.
Please do not create multiple accounts. If you’re not sure if you have an account or need help logging in, please contact our Help Desk.
Has your login process changed?
We updated the login process for Facing the Future’s website on September 15, 2011.
Prior to September 15, 2011, access to download or purchase curriculum required only an email address. As of September 15, 2011, you are now required to enter a username and password for website downloads and purchases.
Your email address may be in our system if you have downloaded or purchased resources prior to this change, but if you do not have a username and password you do not have an account. To download, click the register link to create a new account. If you are purchasing resources through our online store, you will create a new account through the checkout process.
If you have downloaded or purchased resources on our website since September 15, 2011, you currently have a Facing the Future account. Please do not create multiple accounts. See the instructions above for help logging into your account.
I purchased a PDF. How do I download it?
You can access purchased PDF resources at any time by logging into your account. Your order history will show recent purchases of print and digital resources. Click on “order details” and then click the “download” button next to the PDF you want to retrieve.
Where can I order online?
You may use our online store to purchase Facing the Future resources using your credit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. You can also choose to pay using a PayPal account.
All online payments are securely processed through our payment gateway partner, Authorize.Net. Learn more.
Do you have any discounts?
Volume discounts are available for orders at or above quantities of 20, 50 or 100 copies of the same book for the following resources.

Volume discounts are automatically applied to online purchases. For purchase orders, please include the dollar amount of any applicable volume discounts in the space provided on your order form.

I have a coupon code. How can I use it?
For online purchases, you may enter a coupon code during the checkout process.
For purchase orders, write your coupon code and dollar amount of the coupon discount in the space provided on your order form.
Please read the terms and conditions of the coupon carefully. Coupons are valid only for full-price items and cannot be combined with volume discounts, other coupons or other promotions.

Do you accept international orders?
You may place an order from anywhere in the world using our online store. We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
Is there tax on my order?
Local sales and use taxes will be applied to all orders shipping within Washington state (including orders of PDF and digital resources placed within Washington state).
What are my shipping options? How long will delivery take?
For orders within the United States, we offer the following shipping options.
- USPS Priority Mail: 2-3 business days within the United States
- USP Ground: 1-6 business days within the United States
For orders outside the United States, we offer the following shipping options. Please note that any customs duties or taxes applied are additional and to be paid by the recipient. Facing the Future is not responsible for any shipping delays related to customs clearance.
- USPS Priority Mail International: 6-10 business days
- UPS Worldwide Expedited: 2-5 business days
Please allow up to 5 business days for your order to be processed in addition to applicable shipping time. Expedited shipping may be available. To request an expedited shipping quote, please contact customer service.
Can I track my order?
You can view the status of your order and find shipping information by logging in to your account.
UPS Ground and UPS Worldwide Expedited include shipment and delivery tracking. Once your order has shipped, you will find the tracking number under “order details”.
United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail and Priority Mail International do not offer shipment and delivery tracking.
What is your return policy?
We do not accept returns.
Do you offer complimentary review, examination, or desk copies?
Since we are a small nonprofit organization and offer many free resources, we do not offer complimentary review, examination, or desk copies.
Are Facing the Future resources available in languages other than English? What is your translation policy?
Facing the Future resources are currently available only in English. We are not able to authorize the translation of our resources into other languages. However, due to recent interest in translations, we are working on revising our translation policy.
Where can I find the details of Facing the Future’s copyright? Can I copy, print or distribute your materials for educational purposes?
Facing the Future retains the copyright to the curriculum resources we publish in print and the digital resources published on our website. This is our copyright statement:
In general, it is necessary to obtain advance, written permission to copy Facing the Future publications. However, given that worksheets, tests, quizzes and other student handouts in Facing the Future publications are designed to be copied and distributed in class, it is not necessary for an individual educator to request permission from Facing the Future to make copies of these student handouts for use by his or her students in a school or other nonprofit educational organization.
Other than the exception outlined above for the non-commercial purposes of teachers and individual classrooms, USERS MAY NOT REPRODUCE, MODIFY, TRANSLATE, SELL OR DISTRIBUTE THE MATERIALS FOR ANY PURPOSE WITHOUT FACING THE FUTURE’S PRIOR WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION. I want to share Facing the Future’s free resources with other educators. How can I do this?
Many of our curriculum resources are freely available online and we’re excited to have your help sharing them with other educators! We ask that you direct educators to our website, www.facingthefuture.org, where they can download our free resources and find additional materials. This allows educators the opportunity to stay connected with Facing the Future if they wish, and allows us to track and report on the usage of our resources. We are a nonprofit organization and information provided by our users is an essential part of our reporting to funders, and enables us to continue to create and offer free, high quality curriculum to educators all over the world.
If you work with educators who are unable to access our website and you would like to request permission to distribute PDF or print copies of Facing the Future materials, please contact us.
