Facing the Future is developing a content-based text for English Language Learners and striving readers. This resource will provide students with tools to accelerate their language learning within the context of current global issues such as consumption, climate change, and peace and conflict. Each of the text's seven chapters includes vocabulary instruction, speaking and listening activities, graphic organizers to build reading comprehension, writing extensions, and engaging hands-on activities.
We are looking for teachers to pilot this resource with your students. If you teach ELLs or work with striving readers in middle or high school and would like to pilot one or more of these chapters in your classroom during this time frame, please email us. Pilot testers will be acknowledged in the final curriculum and receive a free copy of the completed resource.

Would you like to continue your professional development by sharing your knowledge of global sustainability education with other teachers and have your conference costs reimbursed? As a Peer Educator, you will join a community of educators and present workshops about your teaching experiences using Facing the Future curriculum resources at education conferences and school or district professional development meetings.

Facing the Future will reimburse conference registration and pre-approved travel costs and provide a toolkit with resources to support conference applications and presentations as well as materials to give to attendees.
