Opportunities for Educators

Momentum is building for education that encompasses global issues and sustainability, and more and more educators around the United States and the world are looking for ways to get involved. One great way is by integrating Facing the Future resources into your teaching. For more ways to be involved, we invite you to consider the following opportunities to participate in our work.

Classroom Partner Program

Facing the Future’s Classroom Partner Program is designed to assess the impact of global issues and sustainability curriculum on students and to cultivate a network of Facing the Future teacher leaders.

Classroom Partners administer tests to their students before and after teaching a Facing the Future unit. If you plan to teach Facing the Future curriculum in a grade 5-12 classroom this school year and would like to participate in evaluating the impact of these resources, then we invite you to apply to be a Classroom Partner.

Peer Educator Program

We are excited to announce the launch of our Peer Educator Program!

We are looking for teachers to present workshops at K-12 education-related conferences about your experience using Facing the Future curriculum in the classroom. Facing the Future will reimburse conference registration and pre-approved travel costs and provide a toolkit with resources to support conference applications and presentations.

“[Facing the Future] is a great resource for teachers who are newly looking for global and sustainable issues and those who are old pros. It has a wealth of ideas on ways to introduce these important issues to students.”
