RESPECT International

Partner with a refugee school!

www.respectrefugees.org

RESPECT International is an organization that increases awareness of refugee issues among non-refugee students. RESPECT does this by providing information resources to build awareness about refugee issues, bridging non-refugee students and refugee students through pen-pal letter exchange, and by encouraging students to act to raise awareness of refugee issues and raise funds for their refugee school.

For more information on building awareness about refugee issues, you can query RESPECT's online database of resources from various international agencies at www.respectrefugees.org/resources/query_resources.php.

If your class would like to connect with a class of refugee or IDP students of similar age and academic level by pen pal letter exchange and/or raise funds for your partner school, RESPECT has everything you need to get you started. Visit www.respectrefugees.org or email them.

Connects to issues: Conflict, Interconnections, Refugees, Internally Displaced People

Connects to FTF curriculum activities: Making Global Connections; Seeking Asylum; Livin' The Good Life?; Everyone does Better when Women do Better; Worldview Mingle; Creating Our Future.
