Adopt a Local Park!
Adopt-a-Park Program, King County

http://www.metrokc.gov/parks/volunt/adopt.htm

Our parks and green spaces need your help. Commit to volunteering at a nearby park at least four times in a year, and call it your own! By working to maintain our parks, you will preserve the local natural environment and allow citizens to enjoy the outdoors. Design a project that will enhance your local park and watch as it becomes healthy and beautiful as you work towards you goal. King County will recognize your efforts with a public sign advertising your adoption and upkeep of the area. This is a great service project that not only preserves important environmental resources, but also helps the community at large.

For more information, contact Laurie Clinton, Volunteer Coordinator at King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks, at (206) 296-4452 or by email.
