Is your school Car-Smart?
Way to Go, Seattle

www.cityofseattle.net/waytogo

Reduce automotive traffic to and from your school by using these fun ideas from Way to Go, Seattle. Encourage students, teachers, and staff to carpool to school or use other forms of transportation, like biking or walking. Way to Go, Seattle’s website will provide you with forms to organize carpools, car-cost worksheets to see how much money would be saved with less use of an automobile, and stories of schools and organizations that have committed to becoming Car-Smart. What does your school need to reduce the number of car commuters? Draw a map detailing public transportation in your area, or throw a party for the class that saved the most car emissions in a month. Begin a campaign around your school to educate fellow students, teachers, and staff about the need for alternative forms of transportation. Can you be Car-Smart?
