PeaceJam

Start a PeaceJam club in your community!
www.peacejam.org

Age group: Grades 5-12
Geographic area: Worldwide

PeaceJam is an international education program built around leading Nobel Peace Laureates who work with youth to pass on the spirit, skills and wisdom they embody. The goal of PeaceJam is to inspire a new generation of peacemakers to transform their local communities, themselves, and the world.

To get involved, organize a PeaceJam club at your school, youth group, or community organization. Students will need to find an adult sponsor and connect with the nearest PeaceJam affiliate. The PeaceJam club studies the PeaceJam curriculum, watches a video to study the Nobel Peace Laureate who will come to their region, and develops a PeacePlan, which lays out what their group will do to engage and improve their local community. The PeaceJam club will also raise money to send delegates from the club to the annual PeaceJam conference where a Nobel Peace Laureate will speak.

To connect with your local PeaceJam affiliate and create a PeaceJam club in your community, go to www.peacejam.org/getinvolved.htm.
