It is easy to take for granted access to safe drinking water. When we're thirsty, we go to a water fountain or a sink and get a glass of water. Yet, for more than 1 billion people, this isn't the case. People's lives are destroyed every day because they cannot take a safe drink of water.
But there is hope. Unlike many other epidemics, we know the cure for this one – clean, safe, accessible drinking water.
You can help WaterPartners International bring safe, accessible drinking water to those who don't have it. Using their One Day for Water curriculum, you will learn about water and its influence on our lives through fun, informative facts on water and interactive games. Most importantly, you will have an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of real people by adopting a community in a developing country. When you sign up with WaterPartners, you will receive a letter thanking you for participating, copies of the curriculum, a presentation about the community you're helping and a copy of WaterPartners' newsletter. At the end of the project, you will receive a certificate of completion and the first of three updates about your community.
