EarthCorps
Steward your local environment!
www.earthcorps.org
Age group: Grades K-12
Geographic area: Greater Seattle/King County
Planting trees and maintaining forests and streams is a hands-on way to improve your local community, create more hospitable habitat for wildlife, and contribute to cleaner air and water for everyone! Groups or individuals can volunteer with EarthCorps – they provide tools, gloves, snacks, and all the training you need to make an immediate difference. EarthCorps' regularly scheduled events are primarily for ages 14-18, but younger students can participate if they are accompanied by adults in a one-to-one ratio.
It's easy to sign up – just check the volunteer calendar to find a convenient date and location. EarthCorps can organize special events with school groups on weekdays, though this requires three months advance planning.
