Launched in 2006, the Moontown Foundation is a Seattle-based non-profit social venture dedicated to ending environmental, social and economic inequality in the United States by developing innovative programs designed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, accelerate the adoption of city-scale energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions, which also serve as green career pathways out of poverty for economically challenged and socially disconnected youth.
Moontown’s training and certification programs help teens and young adults pursue green building trade and professional and technical skills required to successfully participate in the emerging energy efficiency and renewable energy industries.
