• Cleveland High School Global Studies Academy, 11th Grade, Seattle, WA
  ESL students found their voice by educating younger students about refugees and sharing personal stories

• Einstein Middle School, 8th Grade, Shoreline, WA
  A project that spanned four subject areas addressed local and global poverty from multiple angles.

• Highland Middle School, 7th Grade, Bellevue, WA
  A group of 7th graders educated their community about global issues by identifying their target audiences and designing a variety of communication strategies to raise awareness and change behaviors.

• Klickitat High School, 9th-12th Grade, Klickitat, WA
  A group of students took sustainability "on the road" by setting up a booth at a Global Issues Fair that was followed by guest speaker Bono.

• Polytechnic School, 8th Grade, Pasadena, CA
  Students partnered with Canadian peers in an international collaboration to address global poverty.

• Seattle Girls School, 7th Grade, Seattle, WA
  Students identified global issues and then initiated projects to bring about community change. One student created a website and a lesson plan on global warming.

• Washington Middle School, 7th Grade, Seattle, WA
  Students teamed up to identify issues they were passionate about and create service learning projects to address them, sharing their work through websites.
