Donations are a large and significant source of funding to support Facing the Future curriculum development and outreach to educators across North America and beyond.

Gifts of any size enable us to fulfill our mission to create tools for educators, develop critical thinking skills, build global awareness and engage in positive solutions for a sustainable future.

Your Gift is Important

Facing the Future programs are made possible by your generous support, reaching tens of thousands of teachers who, in turn, reach 1.8 million students across the country and the globe each year.

With issues ranging from the restoration of earth’s environment to increasing food production for equal access, people like you provide educators with the resources necessary to inspire students to broaden their knowledge and engage in beneficial activities that confront the challenges of the 21st century.

We are thankful to have generous support from many people and organizations who care deeply about global sustainability and the programs we provide to empower the next generation. Please know that your gift, large or small, is important and absolutely makes a real difference.

There are a number of ways to donate. All gifts are tax-deductible as allowable by law. Upon deposit of your gift a receipt will be sent. WWU Foundation Tax ID: 916073519. Phone: (360) 650-3274.

Employer Matching Gift Programs

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and encourage employees to contribute, offering to match charitable contributions made by their employees. If your company is eligible, the impact of your gift to Facing the Future may be doubled and, in some cases, even tripled. There also are companies that match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. Check with your employer to see if they offer a matching gift program.

If you need our nonprofit tax identification number or you have any questions, please call us at (360) 650-7223 or send an email to FacingtheFuture@wwu.edu.

Stock Donation or Bank Transfer

Please call (360) 650-3408 or send an email to FacingtheFuture@wwu.edu and we will provide the relevant account information you need.

Securities may be made as outright gifts or as a payment on a pledge. Stock certificates may be reassigned directly to the Western Washington University Foundation or may be transferred through the donor's broker.

The mean market value on the date of the transfer will determine the value of the gift for tax purposes. It is best to consult with a development professional before a transaction is made. For general questions on securities, call (360) 650-3027. Learn more about how to make gifts of securities.
