Global Sustainability IssuesFacing the Future
Inspire students to envision a sustainable future, by diving into complex, interconnected global issues such as population, consumption, poverty, biodiversity, and environmental justice.
The second edition of “Global Sustainability Issues” brings a name change from the former “Global Issues and Sustainable Solutions”, as well as updated data and coverage of climate change, population growth and biodiversity. Additionally, three case studies have been included with discussion questions at the end of each chapter for students to further develop their thinking about sustainability issues.
“Global Sustainability Issues” serves as both a complementary resource when teaching core subjects and as a contextual framework for a stand-alone global issues and sustainability course. Students will:
- Examine correlations between modern advances and population growth
- Assess the environmental impact of humans' ecological footprint
- Identify personal and global actions toward a sustainable future
